PROXIMUS 24 HOURS OF SPA: The Paddock.

Behind the scenes

Party atmosphere - working atmosphere! It is always a great pleasure to be in the paddock. Hundreds of people (drivers, team managers, mechanics and engineers) are buzzing around the impressive infrastructure created by the most professional teams ever. As those fortunate enough to be on the inside will certainly not deny. Like children enchanted by this magical world of bright colours and frantic activity.

A series of huge trucks are parked neatly in front of the zones allocated to each Team. A little further along are the ‘huge machines’ that serve as mobile palaces. Not forgetting the equally impressive stands, caravans, tents and other infrastructure occupied by the sponsors, car manufacturers, accessory suppliers, etc.

Add in the media technical gear (television, radio and photographers). And the crowning glory is an armada of restaurants, terraces, boxes, snack bars and watering holes.

Referring to the Paddock as being behind the scenes is perhaps a little wide of the mark.
The deployment of these grandiose structures, plus the efforts and skills of everyone involved, make this "behind the scenes" location in every way a huge part of the main event!
